Nearly 1,820 firefighters deployed and 2,500 households without electricity
A rapidly advancing wildfire in the Aude region has knocked out power for approximately 2,500 households and prompted deployment of nearly 1,820 firefighters to contain the blaze, which local officials describe as advancing "very quickly." President Macron has stated that all government resources are being mobilised to support firefighting efforts.
The fire continues to threaten infrastructure and residential areas inland from the Mediterranean.
