French President Emmanuel Macron said France is coordinating with more than fifteen countries to establish a defensive maritime mission in the Strait of Hormuz, aimed at helping restore safe passage for global oil shipments after a temporary ceasefire between Washington and Tehran. Macron also called for Lebanon to receive explicit protection under any regional agreement to prevent further instability.
