French Prosecutor Opens Attempted Murder Investigation After Petrol Bomb Thrown at Police Officers in Paris

The Paris public prosecutor's office launched a formal criminal investigation for attempted murder against persons vested with public authority after incendiary devices and petrol bombs were hurled at a group of gendarmes and police officers during street unrest near the capital.
