OECD Warns France Must Lift Productivity and Spending Efficiency to Sustain Long-Term Growth

The OECD has urged France to improve public spending efficiency and accelerate innovation reforms in its latest Economic Survey, warning that demographic pressures and fiscal constraints could weigh on long-term growth. OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann said France remains resilient but needs stronger returns on research and development investment to support sustainable expansion.
