France Battles Multiple Wildfires Across Southern Regions as Drought Conditions Persist
Firefighters are tackling several active wildfires in southern France, particularly in the Aude and Hérault departments, where around 900 hectares have already burned. Additional blazes have forced evacuations in parts of the Pyrénées-Orientales and Fréjus, with authorities deploying thousands of firefighters, backed by military personnel and volunteers, to contain the fires under difficult weather conditions.
